From July 11th to 12th, CCME 2024 8th Endoscopy Conference and Annual Ceremony was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, where the upstream and downstream units of the endoscopy industry chain gathered together for development, and the industry's new products and solutions were unveiled. ALINX showed up at the conference and demonstrated its new FPGA+GPU heterogeneous medical imaging solution "Endoscopy and Surgical Robotics Solution", and won the "Excellent Supplier Award" in China's medical endoscopy industry in 2024.
(ALINX won the "Excellent Supplier Award" of 2024 China Medical Endoscopy Industry)
With the development of medical industry, endoscopy and surgical robotics industries are facing significant pain points in image data, such as light source processing, color distortion, high data latency, 3D image processing, etc. In response to these pain points, ALINX, leveraging its rich experience in FPGA image products, has launched a new product called ALINX. To address these pain points, ALINX, leveraging its rich experience in FPGA image products, launched the new FPGA+GPU heterogeneous video image processing development platform Z19-M, and the endoscopy and surgical robotics solution based on this platform.
The Z19-M not only efficiently integrates the power of AMD Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC FPGA chips and NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX GPU chips, the FPGA part is responsible for processing high-speed data streams and preprocessing tasks, while the GPU focuses on processing fine-grained data and executing complex AI algorithms such as inference of deep learning models. It can be used in industries with stringent requirements for image accuracy and real-time performance. The product also has rich interface resources, such as 8 12G-SDI, 2 100G optical fiber, 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs and outputs, and FMC HPC, etc., which is highly scalable.
ALINX's Endoscopy and Surgical Robotics Solution, based on the Z19-M, supports HD video image acquisition, processing, and 8K HD video image display, and also provides highly efficient 3D image processing capabilities. The advanced synchronization technology ensures that video data from the left and right eyes are synchronized with 1 line of accuracy, and the end-to-end latency is controlled to less than 50 milliseconds, which significantly improves real-time performance and response speed. The outstanding performance of this solution can provide doctors with clearer, more stereoscopic and more accurate visual information, thus enhancing the precision and safety of minimally invasive surgery.
At the conference, ALINX won the 2024 China Medical Endoscopy Industry "Excellent Supplier Award" for this solution, which is highly recognized by the industry.
In the "Endoscopy Design & Manufacturing Technology Conference“ held concurrently with the conference, ALINX Algorithm Engineer Hua Hua brought the theme of "Embracing High-Real-Time AI Changes Brought by High-Performance Heterogeneous Edge Computing Devices", and gave a detailed technical sharing on the scene about the Z19-M and the "Endoscopy and Surgical Robot Solution". He also gave a detailed technical sharing on Z19-M and "Endoscopy and Surgical Robot Solution".
"The application of high-performance heterogeneous edge computing devices in healthcare marks the dawn of a new era,"He said, " and they are reshaping the future of the healthcare industry by providing real-time, high-precision AI assistance." These solutions are expected to be widely adopted and utilized in the coming years as technology continues to advance and market demand expands.
In the future, ALINX will continue to develop more and more FPGA products and solutions for the medical field, and work with industry partners to promote the intelligence of the medical electronics industry and the development of human health!
